![]() ![]() Update: I returned the sequel after an hour. I'll try the second book in the series and hope for anything to propel the plot in an exciting way - if not: Returned. This is the type of book to listen to while doing something moderately taxing - you don't have to concentrate very hard or for very long to get the gist of things. When he isn't shouting, he does have a broken way of voice acting which is a little reminiscent of Shatner, like another reviewer pointed out. It doesn't help that the narrator has that annoying habit of constantly interpreting dialogue as anger or derision - this indicates inexperience to me. In fact, I venture that I would have been able to listen to the first few chapters and then skip to the last few chapters without missing anything meaningful. I have a little more than two hours left and it's mainly been dialogue and character development. If I watch a film-adaptation I always go into the book with an open mind. ![]() I've wanted to play the games for a while, and I enjoyed the Netflix series - albeit a little confusing. ![]()
